Dr. Cecilia Fisher’s journey in veterinary medicine began far from Florida’s sunshine. Born in Sweden, she moved to the United States as a child, living first in Michigan before settling in New Jersey. She pursued her undergraduate studies at Rutgers University, earning a degree in Chemistry. However, her dedication to animal rescue and volunteer work revealed her true calling: veterinary medicine.

Following her passion, Dr. Fisher attended the Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine, where she earned her DVM. Captivated by both the climate and community of Southwest Florida, she made it her home over 18 years ago. In 2013, she took the helm at Cape Coral Pet Vet, where she continues to serve the community’s pets with a focus on dentistry, dermatology, and preventative care.

Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Fisher is deeply committed to community service. She actively supports the Cape Coral Animal Shelter, the Cape Coral Chamber of Commerce, youth sports programs, and the Shop with a Cop initiative. Her dedication to supporting future veterinary professionals includes mentoring students and sharing her experiences at local schools. Her outstanding contributions to veterinary medicine were recognized when the Cape Coral Breeze named her Veterinarian of the Year.

Dr. Fisher resides in Cape Coral with her husband Sam, their son, twin daughters, and beloved pets.
